New Brand, Same Values!

Flexible Childcare Services Scotland launches new branding and a new name at an event hosted in STV Children’s Appeal’s Glasgow Headquarters as it embarks on a new era of growth.

The national social enterprise, now known simply as Flexible Childcare, has made the change to reflect its wider mission to support all families to thrive by removing childcare as a barrier to work or education.

With 15 existing childcare settings in Scotland, and a new service opening in the New Year, Flexible Childcare has been approached by local authorities in England who see the positive impact that a flexible, book by the hour childcare service can have on families.

Susan McGhee, Chief Executive Officer at Flexible Childcare, explains,

“For the last 7 years we’ve been delivering flexible childcare across Scotland and according to our latest research, parents using our services are more than £2m better off each year thanks to our book by the hour model. We’ve been approached by a number of English Councils who see the value of our work and want to increase parental employment in their areas, by removing Scotland from our name we are in a better position to expand and open new services in England and across the UK.”

While the name and logo have changed, the charity’s mission, services and team remain the same, and its work in Scotland will continue as before. Parents can continue to book childcare by the hour and change their bookings each week in line with their personal or professional commitments.”
